I'll believe that when I see it.
I'll bet you'll see a ton of newly shaved heads from people wanting to get the lowest possible interference with the device.
That'll also get in the way of my headset.

Well here is a video of someone supposedly using it
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BKd_AJUUT7Q
looks like it works pretty well, all he needs is the mouse to control the aiming. He's using his mind to control forward/backward movement, strafing, and firing.

If I had $160 laying around, I'd buy it and try it out. Looks interesting, but I seriously doubt it works very well.

Hmm and it's only 160$, I'd say for that kind of thing it is pretty cheap, at least seemingly. They would usually charge out the arse for things like this.
I'll have to try it someday, it looks kind of fun.

Nice step towards future technology but I'll wait for it to get out of it's infancy.

Seeing how many brainless people play games these days, it probably won't be much of a success.

Rofl... yeah, someone thinks ''Mm boobs'' *Actuator goes crazy*.
Jk, but it will be fun to see how far/advanced this gets, hopefully it reaches a successful stage later.

I can see someting like this being pretty effective if they used the technology that has been applied to the latest artificial arms/hands that have been developed.
Just imagine actually being able to eat/drink while playing because you don't need your hands!
Wander if a strategy game would give you a headache

There is also a monitor that moves mouse where you look. Funny, that when men tested it, cursor was on... female ladies quite often ;p But this has been done 20 years ago, didn't work, now it's quite good.. But after 5 minutes you get a headacke.
btw: That monitor costs ~$7500, so it's more of a niuanse right now than a serious thing.

I wish I had the money to actually test this. I wonder how well it would work coupled with voice recognition..... no more keyboard or mouse........
Maybe 1 day.....

I would find it very funny if people posted on like the Newegg reviews, "Didn't work for me! Junk!"
Hmmm, wonder why... lol.
This technology is rather simple actually. Surprised it took them this long for such a simple device.

There is this one and the Project Epoc by Emotiv, theirs is coming out in a few months and you can "preorder" from them. I've been following both for a while, the OCZ headband (it originally was a wider headband) seems to be simpler yet more reliable, and the Epoc seems to be more complex but less reliable, ie slower response time. What I want to do is buy the Epoc, use the free coding software the comes with it, and see if there is a program that is used to code the high-end RC helicopter remotes. I want to plug the remote into the laptop, and somehow sync the two programs so that the input messages from my brain can be directly relayed into the controller and then transmitted to a receiver, which will be on the robot that I will build. The hardest part is going to be the synchronization of the two programs, might need a dedicated Unix virtual machine or something, mebbe use VMWare to run linux through.
Mind controlled robots, anyone?
Edit: these things are slightly ineffective because they are non-invasive, meaning they don't stick needles all through your brain to pick up electrical brain signals. dunno if what i just said makes any sense, it's 5am here and i'm tired.
